Last week, I had the privilege of sitting down with Michelle Skinner, Angelique David, and Robyn McFarland of Real Talk with Just4Girlfriends. Each week, Real Talk with Just4GirlFriends delivers its audience with ‘conversation for the soul’. Co-hosts (and guests) explore various topics designed to enlighten, inform, entertain, and sometimes even unnerve the viewer. No matter the topic, the conversation will always include a call-to-action, key takeaway, or useful tip that viewers can incorporate into their daily lives.
With the hosts of Real Talk on CAN TV Raising Addy was featured on the show A Mother's Journey Raising a Special Needs Child. Check out my excerpt as well as another mom’s journey here!
In addition, Just4Girlfriends (known as J4G) is a group of amazing women, all wearing multiple hats (e.g., “mom,” “wife,” “professional,” or “whatever other superpower is requested”). These amazing gathered to enjoy engaging experiences filled with laughter, relaxation, and rejuvenation while not having to wear all their hats!
CAN TV was established by the City of Chicago in 1983 to maximize the involvement of Chicago residents and groups in cable television. CAN TV delivers over 140 hours of original, hyper-local programming each week. Additionally, CAN TV provides coverage of events relevant to the local community and gives every Chicagoan a voice on cable television by providing video training, facilities, equipment, and channel time for Chicago residents and nonprofit groups. CAN TV’s five local cable channels (CAN TV 19, 21, 27, 36, and 42) reach more than one million viewers in the city of Chicago.
Lastly, thank you to the gracious hosts for allowing me to use their platform to share my journey and help other moms/parents/caregivers!
Much love,
Raising Addy
